How Much Does a Wedding Photographer Cost in Pakistan?

What a wedding photographer costs in Pakistan in 2026 — real price ranges for Lahore, what drives the figure, and how to budget for the coverage you need.

Wedding photography coverage in progress at a Lahore wedding

If you're planning a wedding in Lahore, Islamabad or Karachi, one of the first questions is the hardest to get a straight answer to: how much does a wedding photographer actually cost in Pakistan? Quotes swing wildly, and the number on a price list rarely tells the whole story. Here's an honest breakdown of what you can expect to pay in 2026 — and, more importantly, what you're paying for.

Typical price ranges in 2026

As a rough guide for professional coverage in Pakistan's major cities:

  • Single-event coverage — from around PKR 80,000 to 150,000. One photographer, a few hours, a private gallery of edited images.
  • Full-day coverage — roughly PKR 200,000 to 350,000. Two photographers, a longer day, more images, and usually a highlight film.
  • Multi-event / full weddingPKR 400,000 and up. A full team across every event, cinematography, albums and faster turnarounds.

For context, our own packages start at PKR 120k for an Essential single event and scale to a Grand multi-event production. Where you land inside these bands depends on the factors below.

What actually drives the price

Time and team

The single biggest lever. A nikkah covered by one photographer for three hours is a different undertaking to a three-day shaadi covered by a team of four. More events, more hours and more shooters all move the number.

Experience and demand

An established studio with a deep, consistent body of work charges more than someone building a portfolio — because you're paying for reliability on a day that can't be re-shot. Peak wedding season (roughly October to March) also fills quickly, so popular dates command a premium.

Deliverables

Stills only, or stills plus a cinematic film? A digital gallery, or a printed album as well? Same-day teasers, drone coverage and express delivery are common add-ons that change the total.

Editing and finishing

This is the value that's easy to miss on a quote. Hand-finished retouching, careful colour grading and a properly curated edit are what separate a gallery you treasure from a dump of raw files. Cheap coverage often cuts here.

What should be included

At a professional level, your package should always include full coverage of the agreed events, a private online gallery, and hand-finished high-resolution images you own and can print. Films, albums, extra shooters and parent copies are typically add-ons. If a quote is unusually low, check what's been left out before you compare it to anything else.

How to budget sensibly

The most common mistake is spreading a small budget thinly across everything. It's far better to cover the events that matter most, beautifully than to stretch one photographer across three days. Decide your priorities first — the baraat, the rukhsati, the couple portraits — and invest there.

A practical rule of thumb: photography and film together usually account for 8–12% of a total wedding budget. It's one of the few things you'll still be looking at in twenty years, so it's rarely the place to cut hardest.

A few questions worth asking

Before you commit, ask any photographer: Can I see one full wedding gallery, start to finish? Who exactly will shoot my day? What's the delivery timeline? We cover these in more detail in 5 questions to ask before you book a photographer.

The short version

In Pakistan, expect to pay from around PKR 80k for a single event to PKR 400k+ for a full multi-day wedding, with most couples landing somewhere in the middle. Price tracks time, team, deliverables and the quality of the edit — not just the logo on the quote.
